Short Term Program
Global Perspectives for Youth, LLC’s (GPY) short term host family programs are generally 10 to 14 days in length. Participants are select students from China. Host families provide students with a place to sleep, meals, transportation and hospitality. Students spend only evenings and weekends at home. A stipend is offered to cover expenses for food and activities.

There are many fantastic benefits to hosting an international student. Your family’s daily life will be enriched as you share it with your student. Your children will be introduced to a new culture and learn, first hand, about customs different than their own. You may gain new perspectives about our culture by hosting a young person from another country.


Long Term Program
GPY’s long term host family program is one academic year, approximately 10 months. Students attend a reputable private school, Marist High School in Eugene. By inviting an international student to join your family, you will provide an environment in which the student can truly learn about American culture and the many traditions therein. A monthly stipend is offered to cover basic expenses.

Hosting an international student for an academic year is unlike any other educational experience. As your student shares his or her culture and customs, your family will foster a deeper international perspective.
